♯ known as the 'healer of toys' in gridania... or rather, his adoptive mother is. the elder ward takes credit for the younger's work among the gridanian people, supposedly to keep him safe from those who would shun him for being duskwight.

♯ even so, eglantine is passionate about his work. he is nominally a carpenter, but in practice he repairs all manner of things local children bring to the shop; polishing wood, re-stringing puppets, tightening tiny screws, sewing soft toys, repainting delicate details. he considers this his true joy!

♯ eglantine has been known to assist with ill and infirm children in and around the city as well, particularly on long-term - and terminal - cases. the depressing nature of this job has made him quite shy, but patient and understanding as well.

♯ let's get this out of the way: eglantine's mother is abusive, without question. her relationship with her son is unsalvageable - this is something i did on purpose because of the story i wanted to tell. if this is a theme that makes you uncomfortable, i'm still happy to roleplay with you, but please don't dig too deeply about his mother IC if that is the case. there are plenty of other things he's happy to talk about!

♯ on the same note, if you do get into it, don't expect eglantine to respond positively to accusations or for this to be an "easy fix" situation. as his more or less only relationship with another person, it is complicated, and untangling himself from it will take time. ty for understanding!
